Implementing Google Analytics

Installing the Google Analytics tool on your website could be as easy as copying and pasting. The Process

The implementation and configuration of Google Analytics is a dynamic and methodical process applied to each page of your site. The time required for this process varies depending on the size and complexity of the website and your marketing campaigns.

  • We begin by creating custom profiles. These could be used to segment paid, organic, and/or referral traffic, or to segment new or returning visitors.
  • Then we implement filters to exclude misleading data such as company internal traffic.
  • We customize the Google Analytics Tracking Code (GATC) for advanced analytical data and reporting. This includes cross-domain implementation, integrating data with your CRM system, and other custom installation options.
  • Once the GATC has been customized for your unique needs, it is installed.
  • Campaign Tracking Variables are created to track the data coming from all online marketing channels such as paid search engine traffic, email, banners and other trackable campaigns. Goals for the website are defined in the analytics tool, such as signing up for more information, downloading a whitepaper or completing a transaction.
  • Funnels are designed to lead visitors from landing page to conversion goal.

At this point, the web analytics for your site are installed, configured, and will begin gathering and reporting data.
