E-Nor is seeking a creative, self-motivated, problem-solving data engineer to join our team. You’ll have the opportunity to work with smart folks, including many industry veterans, all hard-working and fun people.

As a member of our data engineering team, you’ll be designing and building data integration and analytics solutions for Web, mobile, and other data sources. As described below, the job is not restricted to development and coding.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop data integration solutions, using Google Cloud Platform components, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, PubSub, Cloud SQL, AppEngine, Datalab, as well as ETL tools, such as Talend.
  • Build high-performance algorithms, data models, and proofs of concept.
  • Design and develop database schemas, queries, and transformation pipelines.
  • Perform ad hoc data manipulation and automate processes.
  • Collaborate with different team members, such as consultants, analysts, solution architects, etc.
  • Ensure that systems meet business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.
  • Test and evaluate new tools and technologies.

What You Should Have

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, problem solver, willing to research and learn new technologies.
  • Experience developing for Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery.
  • Great experience with databases: RDBMS and NOSQL, optimizing database schemas and queries.
  • Great experience in Java, and/or Python.
  • Knowledge of UML and Design Patterns.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a relevant field.

What We’d LOVE You To Have

  • Data analysis experience, strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with design, development, testing and maintenance of highly scalable data management systems.
  • Google Certified Professional Data Engineer
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, App Engine, etc).
  • Experience with big data platforms, such as Hadoop, Spark, Redshirt, etc.
  • Experience with data integration tools, such as Talend, Snowflake, SnapLogic, etc.
  • Experience with R Studio, Python, Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Experience with Web technologies, such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with visualization tools: Tableau, Data Studio, BIME, Looker.
